Photo Montage
Montaging is the art of blending one or more photographs while 3D
Montaging is blending photographic images with computer generated 2D or 3D
Graphics to produce a completely new image.
Here at Studio Max we have years of experience in producing these images and our
roots in this field stretch back over 15 years to the days of 'PovRay' and pure
3D graphics with raytraced or perfect reflection and light images.
Today we have a range of graphical products to call on including 3D Studio Max,
Lightwave and a wide range of CAD Programs to render our images. Quite often
taking the raw graphic files from architects or car designers to produce a high
resolution render and then blending these with traditional or real world
photography to produce the final result.

This example image is made up of just two images. the original
fireworks image one of a series taken at a fireworks display by our resident photographer. The
last image was rendered in a 3D computer graphics program.
Using a specialist graphics program we blended the fireworks images
together to go into the head of the final image with the 2007 3D chrome
bevelled text to go midway.
The whole image was the reflected as if viewed across a calm lake. |

The below images are taken from our image archive from over 15 years ago.
These we rendered in a 3D computer model program called Povray. Typically and image would take anywhere between 48 and 72 hours to complete
on a fast IBM Machine.
